The 2018 Science Atlantic Environment Conference was held March 16-18 at Mount Allison University, Sackville New Brunswick. On February 15, the Honourable Navdeep Bains Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development announced that the Government of Canada is investing up to $950 million in the Innovation Superclusters Initiative. The project aims to develop high-growth sectors through key university partners and businesses. Atlantic Canada will be home to the Ocean
There will be a Software Carpentry workshop following the 2018 Aquaculture and Fisheries and Biology Conference, March 12-13, at Memorial University. All are welcome. Software Carpentry aims to help researchers get their work done in less time by teaching basic research computing skills. Registration is due to open soon. See
