Save the date! The annual Atlantic Undergraduate Physics and Astronomy Conference (AUPAC) is happening January 31 to February 2, 2025.
In a recent Science Atlantic Session for All (SASA) led by the Atlantic Chairs for Inclusion in Science and Engineering (CISE-Atlantic), academics from institutions across the region gathered to discuss the issue of reforming tenure and promotion (T&P) processes to be more inclusive.
The following individuals have been nominated for positions on Science Atlantic’s Board of Directors. The vote will be held during the 2024 Annual Members Meeting, Nov. 15, 2024, hosted at Memorial University of Newfoundland, St. John’s, NL.
Girls STEM Up is collectively 28 undergraduate women in STEM, based in Fredericton and Saint John, NB, who are passionate about bridging the gap of gender inequity in STEM fields, focusing on intersectionality.
Co-chairs Ally and Nazila will share a brief overview of Girls STEM UP (GSU), a student association based at the University of New Brunswick.
Join Memorial University of Newfoundland science students Sathya Amarasena, Amy Stephenson, and Asha De Silva for a panel discussion about their experiences with Science Atlantic, facilitated by Science Atlantic Board of Directors Student Representative Holly Butt.
