On September 17, 2021, at 11:30 AM ADT, panelists from Atlantic universities will discuss the broad topic of Academic Service, including perspectives on how to develop your own ‘service’ interests. This free virtual event will be hosted through Zoom and all attendees will receive the session link prior to the event.

Colleen Barber
Colleen Barber is a Professor in the Biology Department and Associate Dean of Student Affairs in the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research at Saint Mary’s University.

Christian Lacroix
Christian Lacroix is a professor in the Biology Department and former Dean of Science and VP Academic at the University of Prince Edward Island, as well as Past Chair of Science Atlantic.

David McCorquodale
David McCorquodale is a Professor in the Biology Department and former Dean of Science at Cape Breton University, as well as a Past-Chair Science Atlantic.
Themes and Topics:
Each panelist will cover specific topics and themes related to Academic Service and include a personal perspective on their respective paths with regard to service. This will be followed by a Q & A session.
