New Staff!

Please join us in welcoming three new staff members – Kate, Day, and Cindy!

Kate Hayter is a graduate of the advanced diploma in public relations at Nova Scotia Community College. She’s coming to Science Atlantic with a transparent and authentic communication style. Kate is also a professional wedding photographer and a mother of twins. Kate started in January 2022 in the role of Communications Officer.

Day MacKay is in her third year at Saint Mary’s University, studying for a Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology. She brings her enthusiasm, critical thinking, and service mindset to Science Atlantic. Spending the majority of her time studying, she occasionally takes breaks to watch shows and play games. Day was hired as a Communications and Member Engagement Assistant in September of 2021.

Cindy Smith is a first-year Human Resources student at Grant MacEwan University with skills in leadership, customer service, and a go-getter attitude. When not working or studying, Cindy can be found playing video games or playing the clarinet. Cindy started in January 2022 as a Communications and Member Engagement Assistant.
