Science Atlantic is excited to announce the arrival of two new staff members for the Summer 2026 season!
Émilie Snow
Communication Service Coordinator
Émilie is joining the Science Atlantic team for the summer as a Communication Service Coordinator. She is currently completing her BSc at Acadia University where she is double majoring in Geology and Computer Science. Throughout her time at Acadia she has attended 5 Science Atlantic student conferences, and is excited to assist in improving the conference planning experience for organizers.
While at Acadia she has been volunteering as an Emergency First Responder with Saint John Ambulance and in 2025 became a volunteer with Valley Search and Rescue. In the fall she will be starting at the NSCC Centre of Geographic Sciences doing a Graduate Diploma in Marine Geomatics, where she is hoping to continue her volunteer work.
Kepler Altiora
Communications Service Coordinator
Kepler is joining the Science Atlantic team this summer as a Communications Service Coordinator. They’re excited to be working with Science Atlantic as it is a non-profit, community-oriented, student-focused organization, as well as flexibility and excitement of working on a wide range of tasks wearing many hats. This summer, they will be involved in data analysis and management in support of an intergenerational community development project. Kepler has graduated from Fanshawe College, where they completed their diploma in computer programming.
Outside of work, Kepler is a community activist, artist and cat lover.
