Going Virtual – Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science Conference 2020!

Registration and abstract submission is now open!

The Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science Conference (MSCS) 2020 will be hosted by SMU, virtually, Saturday, Oct. 31 to Sunday, Nov. 1. All events will be held via Zoom.

The event will feature:

  • The Blundon, Field, and Sedgewick plenary lectures – Time: TBD
  • The problem-solving contest – 2:00 to 5:00 pm ADT on Saturday, Oct. 31st
  • The programming contest – Afternoon of Saturday, Oct. 31st
  • Undergraduate student paper presentations – 15 minutes in length, time slots TBD shortly before the conference.

Registration is free and will be open until Thursday, Oct. 29 at 11:59 pm.

Abstracts submission deadline is Thursday, Oct. 22 at 11:59 pm.

UNDERGRADUATE MATH CONTEST APPLICATION

Sent by: SA rep or designate. Body should contain:

*list of up to 5  names and emails
*optional waiting list (ordered) with names and emails
*name of one potential judge if possible

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMING CONTEST APPLICATION

Sent by: SA rep or designate. Body should contain
*university name
*any number of teams, with names and emails for each member

UNDERGRADUATE TALK APPLICATION

Sent by: supervisor or other faculty member. One email per talk, please! If student will also participate in a contest, please send a separate registration for that. Body should contain
*name and email of student
*university name
*field: math, stats, or CS
*title and abstract of talk (in TeX or flat text)
*name of supervisor if applicable

STUDENTS ATTENDING ONLY
