Student employees, recent graduates, and their contributions are cornerstones to the success of Science Atlantic’s many activities. In addition to hiring new graduates, Science Atlantic also provides valuable work experience to co-op students from diverse programs and universities throughout the year. Student employees are involved in a variety of project areas including communications and marketing, technical support, software development, as well as conference planning and support.
Science Atlantic’s dedication to student employment was recognized in an article published today by the Nova Scotia Government. In the article, summer co-op student Luke Vincent (SMU) and Program and Membership Support Officer Michelle McPherson (Masters graduate, StFX) talk about their experiences working for Science Atlantic, and the sense of achievement working for a small organization can provide.
