Hall of Fame
The Hall of Fame was created in 2012 for the 50th anniversary of Science Atlantic to recognize individuals who had made significant contributions to the organization, and to recognize former students from Atlantic Canada who excelled at a Science Atlantic or APICS student conference and have gone on to meaningful careers. The Member and Alumni Hall of Fame have proven to be quite popular, and we decided to continue them annually as long as nominations were received.
There are now four categories for recognition: Outstanding Member, Outstanding Contributing Member, Outstanding Alumna/Alumnus, and the Volunteer Service Award.
Nominations may be submitted at any time. The next round of nominees will be considered in Winter 2019. Deadline to submit is Friday March 15, 2019. Criteria and the submission form can be found here.
Twenty-four members and former students were recognized as the first members of the Science Atlantic Hall of Fame at the 50th Anniversary Celebration held April 27, 2012. Members were recognized for their contribution to Science Atlantic/APICS and former students for their exceptional work during their undergraduate studies.
A list of those recognized is included below the slide show. You may also download the full program of the event.
