Awards

Thanks to the support of our generous conference sponsors, each year the achievements of some of Atlantic Canada’s top undergraduate and graduate aquaculture and fisheries students are recognized during the Aquaculture & Fisheries, and Biology (AFB) conference through a variety of awards.

About

The Aquaculture Division was struck in 1991, and in 2008 was renamed the Aquaculture & Fisheries Division to better reflect its work.

The goal of our division is to foster and encourage student-to-student and student-to scientist communications in aquaculture and fisheries related research. The primary vehicle for achieving this goal is an annual undergraduate and graduate student Aquaculture & Fisheries Conference.

Other mechanisms to achieve this goal include encouraging student exchanges among research labs, providing support for student attendance and research presentations at the annual national science conference, Aquaculture Canada, and sponsoring visiting scientists in the region.
