“Experiences in Problem Solving: A W.J. Blundon Commemorative” is a significant work that honors the contributions of W.J. Blundon to the field of mathematics, particularly in problem-solving. Originally published in 1994 by the Atlantic Provinces Council on the Sciences (APICS), now known as Science Atlantic, this book has long been out of print but has maintained its relevance and value to the mathematical community.

In 2022, the Science Atlantic Mathematics and Statistics Division decided to make this book freely available to the public. This initiative not only preserves Blundon’s legacy but also ensures that his insights and problem-solving techniques remain accessible to future generations of mathematicians and enthusiasts.

The republication project, led by student Simon Maltby and faculty advisor Dr. Darien DeWolf from St. Francis Xavier University, has resulted in the creation of an accessible HTML version of the book. Efforts are ongoing to produce fully accessible PDF and ePub versions as well. This endeavor has been made possible through the use of funds from the book’s original proceeds, demonstrating a commitment to reinvesting in mathematical education and accessibility.

This new edition maintains the original content while enhancing its accessibility and reach. It serves as a testament to the enduring value of Blundon’s work and the commitment of the mathematical community to preserving and sharing knowledge.
